Most of us accept that good oral hygiene involves cleaning our teeth daily. But what we don’t always consider is the effect of ingesting the synthetic chemicals found in commercial oral care products.
IT ALL STARTED WITH A QUESTION
We had one question…are all these chemicals really necessary? Research soon highlighted to us that nature already offers us everything we need to effectively look after our oral health. Which is how Georganics was born.
We started out selling natural, environmentally sustainable and 100% vegan oral care products like our natural, fluoride-free toothpaste, at London farmers markets. Before long, demand meant that we had expanded into a new laboratory in the Sussex countryside.
Today, we’ve grown into one of the most trusted, genuinely natural oral care brands. We've also gained recognition for being one of the only brands pioneering zero-waste, low impact living, working with nature rather than against it. In the UK, we are retailed in Wholefoods Market, Planet Organic, As Nature Intended, Revital, Selfridges and John Bell & Croyden as well as supplying a large number of the organic and zero-waste stores across England and Europe.
Our philosophy is pretty simple. By only using natural ingredients in all our oral care products, we avoid any synthetic chemicals that have been shown to be detrimental to both your health and the environment. From the ingredients we source, the minimal-waste approach to packaging, to our transparency in all manufacturing processes, these 3 simple values state our strong commitment to the highest quality and lowest possible impact.
- Actually Natural
Not all ‘natural’ toothpastes are what they claim to be. Many still use synthetic ingredients like hydrated silica, SLS or fluoride, nasties that we end up ingesting. We only use pure, natural and organic ingredients for all our oral care products. This means that we are able to look you straight in the eye when we tell you that this is oral care done naturally.
- No Synthetics
In the oral care and cosmetic industry, there is still confusion surrounding the words 'natural', 'synthetic' and 'chemicals', although everything is made from chemicals, not everything is man-made. Find out more about the difference between natural and synthetic.
We believe in working with nature not against it, and are passionate about making a difference by offering natural oral care products that are environmentally sustainable. That’s why we use plastic-free, recyclable and compostable packaging wherever we can, being one of the few promoting zero-waste practice in oral care.
- Low Impact
As a company, we are committed to minimising our impact. Our ingredients and eco-friendly packaging are sourced from local suppliers and manufacturing partners to avoid unnecessary transportation and reduce emissions. All our toothpastes and mouthwashes are made at our premises in West Sussex, England.
- Zero to Landfill
In the UK, plastic toothbrushes, bristles and empty toothpaste tubes cannot be disposed in regular recycling. We use compostable and recyclable packaging and materials for our natural oral care products and have have set up a ZTL scheme allowing you to send back any Georganics products and components that cannot be recycled at home.
We are totally transparent as to why we have made certain choices when it comes to the ingredients used in our products. This includes our production processes, sourcing and what ingredients we use. Our natural oral care products are made by hand with care and caution at our site in the UK allowing us to monitor quality at every step.
- Vegan & Cruelty-Free
We are in association with PETA, for being a company that believes and succeeds in the ability to operate without testing on animals. We are passionate about protecting the planet and its inhabitants, which is why we offer natural, vegan and cruelty free alternatives to mainstream oral care products.
We manufacture all of our consumable products in England at our premises in the heart of the Sussex countryside. We want to have as low an impact as possible which is why most of our ingredients, materials and packaging are sourced from the UK and Europe. This means we are able to avoid unnecessary transportation wherever possible.
