Preparing your own hair gel is much simpler than you might think. All you are need two ingredients, flax seeds and water. It's almost like that comercial .... just add water!! It's not quite so, but almost.
This gel is natural, organic and vegan. Dries quickly without leaving your hair dry, moisturizes, nourishes and for those who have rebellious curls, like me, it helps with keeping them under control.
- 2tbsp of flaxseeds (golden or brown)
- 250 ml. of water
1- Add water and flaxseed in a small sauce pan and boil until it thickens. Don't forget to stir after boiling.
2- With the help of a colander (to remove flax seeds) and a spoon, pour the mixture into a glass bottle, previously washed and disinfected with alcohol.
3-When the gel is at room temperature add 5 drops of Vitamin E, and thus prolonging the shell life of this hair gel. Without this anti-oxidant, the gel should be kept in optimal condition in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days.
How to Apply:
After washing your hair and removing the excess water with a towel, apply a small amount of the gel with your fingers. You can air dry or use a hair dryer afterwards.
And voilá, all done. Made in a few minutes without exotic or hard-to-buy products. A recipe after our own hearts, simple and natural. 💖
